Principals

Chris Steele

A broker for 20 years Chris joined Hoare Govett after university, and then became a partner at Kitcat & Aitken and then a director with County Nat West Wood Mackenzie. He has experience in research, sales and corporate finance. In 1994 he joined a client, Manchester Exchange Bank, as deputy CEO and head of fund management. He was also non executive Chairman of Nikko Fraser Green Asset Management.

He then set up a specialist investor relations business, City Insights, before joining Holborn Financial PR and subsequently founding Hermes Financial PR.

He has been a non exec director of an AIM listed company and of a national charity. A Fellow of the Securities Institute.


Trevor Phillips

Having spent almost twenty years as a City financial trader he moved into public relations in 2001 subsequently establishing Hermes Financial PR with Chris Steele.

He has acted for a wide range of quoted clients from FTSE250 companies to a number of small-cap AIM companies and unquoted businesses.

In the un-quoted sector he has advised a private equity house on a number of their transactions in addition to some of their portfolio investments. He has provided the complete Press Office function for a private company dealing with communications with their staff, stakeholders and their trade press. He has extensive sporting experience including Britain's most successful golfer on his off-course commercial activities and a number of high profile football club takeovers. He has also been involved in a number of insolvencies, providing the Administrators with strategic advice and a Press Office function.


Keith Lewis

For nearly 20 years as FT journalist before becoming a director of McCann Erikson's first UK PR business. Subsequently a director of Financial Strategy and CEO of Streets Financial from 1989 before setting up Paternoster and then latterly City Road Communications.

Over the course of his career Keith has represented some of the largest quoted companies in the UK as well as many small AIM listed groups. A large part of his work has been in brand reputation management and image building for major financial services and fund management companies. He has extensive flotation, IPO and M&A experience including Government privatisations.
